Quality Control and Export Documents

For an industrial chemical, what arrives in the container matters more than what is written on a brochure. Here is how quality is controlled at the plant and which documents travel with your shipment.

Quality control at the plant

  1. Incoming material and process control. Production is run to a defined specification for each grade, with process parameters monitored continuously.
  2. Batch sampling. Samples are taken from production batches and analysed for NaOH content, sodium carbonate, sodium chloride and iron oxide.
  3. Certificate of Analysis. The analysis results are issued as a batch COA, which is the document your own laboratory should check the shipment against.
  4. Packing and sealing. Bags are sealed to protect a hygroscopic product, and the bag count per container is recorded against the loading plan.
  5. Pre-shipment check. Container number, seal number and loading photographs are recorded before the container leaves.

Independent laboratory verification

Plant quality control is half of the story — buyers reasonably ask who checks the plant. In March 2026 a sample of our solid sodium hydroxide (type IS-I) was tested by the Tianjin Product Quality Inspection Technology Research Institute (TQT), a CMA- and CNAS-accredited laboratory, under report TQT03-1051-2026. Every item passed GB/T 209-2018 with margin:

For individual shipments, third-party inspection at load port (SGS, BV or your appointed surveyor) can also be arranged at cost.

Plant licences and registrations

The plant's key registrations are public record, issued by the authorities in Wuhai, Inner Mongolia. You can verify each item with the issuing authority before ordering.

Unified Social Credit Code91150303MA0MYE6Q1EInner Mongolia Tianshun Alkali Industry Co., Ltd., established 20 July 2016
Safety Production Licence(Meng) WH AnXuZheng [2025] No. 001209Sodium hydroxide production, 100,000 MT/year
Food Additive Production LicenceSC20115030302021Sodium hydroxide (food additive), valid to 30 May 2028
Import & export rightsSelf-operatedThe plant itself is the exporter of record on the customs declaration

The food additive production licence also covers sodium hydroxide for food processing use. If your market requires food-grade material, mention it in your enquiry so the offer and documents are prepared on the right basis.

Third-party inspection

If your procurement process requires independent verification, third-party inspection at load port can be arranged on request, at cost. Tell us at the enquiry stage so it can be built into the loading schedule rather than added afterwards.

What we need from you

  • Target grade and any specification sheet your laboratory uses.
  • Quantity and packing preference — 25 kg bags or 1 MT jumbo bags.
  • Destination port, so we quote the right Incoterm.
  • Any document your customs authority requires, such as a legalised certificate of origin.

Send these with your enquiry and the first reply will already be specific rather than a generic price list. Go to the enquiry form.

Document questions

Can I see a Certificate of Analysis before I place an order?

Yes. Send your specification limits and we will send a recent batch COA for the grade you are considering.

Do you provide a certificate of origin for customs?

Yes. A certificate of origin is issued with the shipping documents, and Form E applies where the destination market qualifies. If your customs requires legalisation or a specific format, tell us at the enquiry stage.

Who arranges the third-party inspection?

You can appoint the inspection company; we coordinate the visit at load port and share the loading schedule. The inspection fee is normally paid by the buyer.

Request a quotation

Send us your required grade, quantity and destination port. We reply with an indicative price, packing options and a specification sheet — normally within one working day.
